How to choose excavator quick coupling?

The construction and demolition industry uses a wide range of tools that are constantly being improved. Sledgehammers have become handheld crushers and shovels have become excavator buckets. Whenever possible, manufacturers will strive to improve the productivity and safety of the tools contractors use every day.

Quick connectors are no exception. These aftermarket excavator accessories eliminate the need to manually remove and install pins, thereby increasing efficiency and greatly reducing the time excavator operators spend switching between accessories. Like all other tools, quick connectors are constantly being improved. To get the most return on investment, contractors should consider the application, hydraulic or mechanical configuration, safety features and other performance characteristics, such as tilt capability.
Using couplers is easy
Quick couplers are an investment that can add convenience and flexibility for teams in almost any application. Without couplers, switching between buckets, trenchers, rakes and mechanical grabs can consume valuable time. While couplers may make the machine heavier and slightly reduce the strength of the breakout, they can increase the speed and flexibility of changing parts. Considering that a traditional changeover can take up to 20 minutes, quick couplers can reduce the time required to handle different parts.
If an operator changes attachments every few days or hours, the coupler may not be needed. However, if a contractor uses a variety of attachments throughout the day or wants to use a machine on the job site to increase productivity, a coupler is a necessary piece of equipment. A quick coupler can even reduce the required maintenance and cost, because if the operator does not want to get into trouble, he may refuse to switch attachments when they need to be changed manually. However, using the wrong attachment for the wrong job can certainly increase wear and tear.
